Any c3500 from 92-99

Hey guys, Have a few questions and im not coming up with answers using search..

Is there any true "bolt-on" air bag kit for duallys or are most custom made?

How are the 6/8 drop kits? Hows the ride?

Also, I have noticed something that may or may not be true. I have noticed a few guys on here running 6/8 drop kits and running like a 225/75/16 tire, now that tire is about 29 inches tall. I have seen a few other guys running the same suspension set up on the same truck with 22s and the truck seems to sit higher when the tire they are running is aucutally a bit shorter combo then the 225/75/16.

Is this an "optical" illusion? I would love to have a dually sit at the same height that they do on the 16s but running 22s.

Since you didn't post what year and make of truck, I will enlighten you on a c3500 dually.

Airride Technologies makes a true bolt on kit, pricey but well built and will hold up well. Airlift also makes a bolt on kit, haven't seen one in person, and price is similar as I remember. ART kits do not come with a cnotch and are designed to run with a belltech bolt on notch. I run the airlift front kit, but with slam bags, and on the rear I run the airride tech bolt on 4 link, but do not use there bag mounts or bags, I went with contitech triple stacks to get more lift as I am body dropped. You will be close if not laying frame on 16's with 3" spindles on the front and the rear will be about 2" off unless you have a bigger notch and relocated bags. I layed out on 16's with like 215/70/16's but not until I redid the rear notch and moved the bags. you can get another inch or so out of the airride tech setup if you cut the bumpstop perches off the axle and trim a bed floor crossmember. When i redid the setup, I also remounted the panhard bar to eliminate some of the sideways movement throughout the lift.

Is it possible to get this low with out air? Obviously modifications would need to be done.

My 6/8 rides like a friggin' Caddy...but then again, it's a Square and Squares are as close to perfect as you can get.

Ya yours sits nice. think it would still sit that way with 22s?

Yeah. From what I understand, you have to do a little trimming, but they'll fit with that drop.
