That's a lot a stress for that semi floating 14 bolt, those axle bearings are no where near as strong as the full floating wheel bearings.

yeah im sure its not as strong but this truck isnt gonna be seein alot of towing duties...maybe my four wheelers and hayabusa...that rear end come out from under a crew cab long bed 2500 so im pretty sur ethose dually fenders dont weight that much more than the donor truck...if i was plannin on doin alot of towin i doubt i woulda bagged and bodied it and stuck with a simple lowering kit but the rear should work fine for what i have planned for the truck

what size steel bar did you use to link your rear end? 2 x 3 ?
comegetsome   +1y
yeah it is 2x3 1/4" wall 2 link....alot of people dont like a 2 link but ive had good luck with them...those bars are 3 1/2ft long...the longer the better it minimizes pinion change

to use the front stock leaf mount. did you just drill a hole through the 2x3 tube ?
comegetsome   +1y
no you need a bushing up there so it will have alittle flex...i used some front hangers off a 99 up silverado we had layin around and a weld on end link and bushin kit from suicide doors....went to the parts store and got some leaf spring perches for the rear end...mocked eveything up and got my pinion set at my desired ride height and them welded the perches to the rear end and i welded the link bars to the perches and then bolted it down(wasnt bolted in pics) with u bolts

is that poly bushing kit you bought the 3 inch ones?

did you have to trim or grind down the end of the 2x3 tube to get it to fit right on the end link?

yeah i had to grind alitle bit to fit the curve but nothing major...and welded it in...painted it put the bushings in a bolted her up
