Start trimming the lower arm a little at a time or look at buying some larger diameter rims. After trimming weld some plate on the bottom to strengthen arm.

I've seen that happen on 1/2 tons. Cut too much without reinforcing and the arm will bend.

i wish i knew this before i ordered them! im not gonna trim the lower control arm because im gonna run some 20's. looks like ill put off buying my bag parts to buy some 20's.

This is a common problem on the SRW Chevy trucks when you install certain spindles/arm combinations. Most of the companies suggest running a 18" wheel or bigger when running them on these applications.

this wont happen when i do the 6/8.5 western drop to y dually?

Shouldn't have a problem on a dually, I would stay away from the western chassis front kit as they use a 2" spindle and a 3" spring unless they have changed to a 3" spindle now. That way if you go lower later and wanna lay frame you don't have to buy new spindles
