I bought the truck i posted in the intro forum and have a few issues.

The truck was freshly bagged with no miles. Driving the truck home the carrier bearing burned up so I had it towed. After the mechanic installed a new carrier bearing he said that the driveshaft was in a bind and pushing up into the carrier bearing. I towed it home.

Now the rear is 4 linked but the frame isnt notched. Should I drop it off somewhere and have them fix the angle while notching? is that the issue?

For the front: Completely aired out the front doesnt even tuck tires. What do I need to do to the front to get it to lay out on the steelies? Control arms? drop spindles?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sorry forgot to add... it is a 89 chevy extended cab 3500 dually with the 454

Not to be mean, but nobody on here can see what is up with it if you don't post pics.
Generally no pics=no help.

In the rear - Is the link adjustable? If so you should be able to adjust your pinion angle. That is the #1 killer of carrier bearings, and the next is not having it on the same plane as the rest of the driveshaft. I think that most of the carrier bearings need to be raised around 1" or so. It also needs to be notched if you are wanting to lay frame.

In the front - It depends on what they have installed on the truck. If it doesn't lay now more than likely they just shoved some bags in place of the springs. You will need at least a lower control arm or spindles. Also make sure that the pocket is trimmed so that the bag does not rub on the frame.

Pictures would help also.

Be sure to read the "How we roll" post at the top of this forum. Details about everybody's setup, may answer some of the basic stuff+
