What is the lowest I can go without frame mods in the rear? And where do I get the parts?

without frame mods meaning no c-notch? I would guess 6" if you remove the bumpstop brackets

Western chassis is a good brand, so is belltech, those are pretty much the only two brands i know of, i know Jegs sells western chassis stuff, youmay jsut have to go to thier sites and find a local dealer.

I guess I would be ok with a c-notch. So 8" would be about all I want to go in the rear. Would I need spindles and springs in the front to set level? Or do I need other parts. I'm just trying to make sure I dont buy the wrong stuff and screw it up.

I also still want to be able to tow with the truck after it is droped.

you still will be ab le to tow man no worries... depending on the weight, most guys at least add the helper bags in rear. and yup, spindles are way to go in the front i know they have 3inch drop spindles, and also 2 inch as well i believe. just not sure what year thats applicable for. im bit more familiar with the squares. . plus if you by chance ever do decide to bag it, you can utilize them
