74 drw in 00 c3500 srw

hey guys.... has anyone took a square body drw axle and put it in 88-00 body style 1 ton? if so.... how did it go? thanx..

Done it several times. It all depends on which width axle you get. My '94 model had a C&C rear axle in it that was 36" plate to plate. With this axle you have to basically build a new back half to accommodate the axle.

There are some others that you can get by with just moving the spring perches and some minor trimming on the frame.

i see your in GA...i have one of those axles layin out here under my shelter i removed from my dually last year when i bodydropped it...has 4.10 gears ill sell it cheap if you dont already have one
