"Tow Nasty" 22' the outside and 16' on the inside as far as I've read but this forum is the place to find the answer!

if you wanna run the wheels you have you will need to narrow the rear end bout 7 inches.....

so even with me running the 22 outer and 16 inner i would still have to narrow the rear end? because at the moment i am at stock high and running all 6 rims , i wana lower it today, lol is there a shorter rear end that i can put on it? if so , to what year chevy and what does it measure from drum to drum?

Narrow the rear axle or swap to a Cab & Chassis style rear axle (still requires relocation of some things and frame work). Most C&C rear ends measure 36"-44" plate to plate.

can i use a rear end out of an 86 chevy dually box truck? what would i have to do to make it work other than moving the perches?

you will just need to measure that rearend to make sure its narrow enough .. the factory rearends are normally around 57 inches from back plate to back plate... you need somewhere in the neighborhood of 47 to 52 inchs to squeeze your wheels in... it you get a rearend thats closer to 47 you might have to narrow the frame rails really just depends on what rearend you find and what wheel setup your gunna run....
