hey guys.
i tried this over on streetsource with no luck...

im lookin for some feedback on running sleeve bags on the rear of my dually.

i've got it currently set-up w/ slam re-8s over the axle.

to be honest, it rides a LOT worse than i was expecting.

i recently aquired some firestone sleeve bags for super cheap from a buddy, and am trying to decide if it's gonna be worth the headache to install these things, as they're a pretty big bag.

i did my research, and these sleeve bags have pretty much the exact same specs as the firestone f2107s that ART offers in their HD airbar kit.

see specs here:

i guess what i'm lookin for is someone to chime in here who's running the firestone f2107s or has in the past.

hows the ride, what did ya have em on, and how much lift did you get out of them?

I always hear people say "sleeve bags ride great..." but i jsut wonder what they're comparing the sleeves to.

thanks!

I have personally never run any of the larger sleeve bags on a dually but the ride you get out of a truck is not just in the bag but also depends on the shock setup you have on it.

You will get alot more weight ratio out of the sleeve bags than the REs, but as far as ride quality I could not tell a difference between my Contitech bags and a friends Firestone sleeves.

I have the art airbar kit on my truck. I used to run the bags that came with it and they were alright, but now I run triple stacks on it and the ride is way better. They are mounted behind the axle. See the attached pics. I run some shocks I had layin around the shop.

hey lock. thanks for the input.

krewzlo, i would love to have some triple stacks, but as usual, it aint in the budget.

these f2107-like bags i got from my buddy were practially free, and thats more my kinda price range.

thanks for yall insight.

i guess im gonna see about installing these new bags...
