Ok guys, I have a couple of questions, well need opinions actually.
I'm gonna bag my dually, I already posted in the new guy section introducing myself and got some responses on where to take the truck already. Anyway, I was thinking and what do you guys think of this company and suspension setup?

Just to let you all know, I was a union sheet metal worker for 4 years before joining the army, so I do have some fab./metal experience, and i've been working on trucks for a while so I have the know how. Also, I found these wheels while researching this site
The wife gave me a generous budget to play with, so i'm thinking of doing it myself when I get home, I just want to know what you guys think, do it myself or send it somewhere?

well, there are some very good shops out there. the way i see it is, if your capable of safely doing it, id do it myself. nothing wrong with knowing when to ask for help. or even if you just dont want to do it, thats what shops are for. nice looking wheels you got picked out . and sounds like you have a good woman. thats a huge plus. cant wait to follow your project man.

It all depends on if you have a timeframe of when you want your truck rolling also. If you have the time to do it yourself and correctly without rushing it then go that route, but if you are going to need your truck to use in a timely manor then you may want to outsource the work to save time.

Let me know when you are ready for the wheels or if you have some questions and I will be happy to help you out.

Lockone, I'm ready for the wheels ASAP lol And i'm thinking I'm just gonna do it myself, with the help of my father when I get back for good, we're going to have a little over one month to get everything right. I do have another truck to drive, old faithful toyota with 200,000 miles. Instead of going with the AVS setup, I've been emailing a guy from ridetech and I'm pretty positive i'm just going to go with their air management, rear 4 link, and front end setup. Can't really go wrong, it's all bolt on except I'm going with a different c notch than what they've got. For the wheels, what tires do you recommend? I don't want anything too low profile because It will be a daily driver once i'm done, and may make a few cross country trips throughout the year.

We normally run a 245/40/19 up to a 255/50/19 on these wheels. It all depends on the room you have inside the rear fenders.
