so now that my rig is on air and lays frame a buddy wants to do his 1/2 ton crew cab. i used ridetech stuff on mine due to the simplicity of bolt on gear and the lack of a welder. i wanted to do everything myself at home in the garage. the problem is i can't find any bolt on kits for his truck. ridetech makes kits up to 2007 and i can't find anything from another source. is custom fab work required for a truck this new? or will the 2007 kit work? please help. i know, i know it's a 1/2 ton. i've officially gone to the dark side!

is it a Chevy,Ford,or Dodge? if its a chevy then check out Ekstensive...they have front kits for these truck to lay out on up to 28s....they have rear kits to but both are gonna require welding....i built a 03 sierra on 26s back in 06 way before any kits like this were available and it woulda saved me alot of trouble if they woulda been available....and if you do alot of modifying to trucks or plan to in the future go ahead and pick yourself up a nice 220v welder..you'll thank yourself in the long run

it is a chevy. i'll check ekstensive out. hopefully i can find what i'm looking for. i do need a welder for sure. have a mechanic buddy from high school i'm still very tight with after all these years so i had access to his whole inventory of tools but he sold his business after 25 years and went to work as a fleet mechanic for the gas and electric company so its tough to reach him sometimes. now i'm looking at buying some key tools for my garage at home. stuff i used to be able to borrow. oh well. now he finally has time for his projects and racing. good for him! thanks for your help. its much appreciated!

Front cup kit: " target="_blank

Rear kit: " target="_blank

This will lay the truck on 22s with a low profile tire. You'll need to cut the center of the floor to get the rear kit on & cut rear wheel wells lay it out.
