I am wanting to lower my 4x4 ,Iam sure its been ask on here before but Im new so i will ask again. I have a 1999 chev. crewcab dually I want to lower ,first is it possible second I dont want to loose the the towing aspect of the truck third if it is possible are air bags needed ? I want it to be functual with a lower stance ,nothing too radical . please give me an idea what wheels are best with lowered truck..

theres a few old threads talking about this. firstly, welcome. over all your best bet is too get a 2wd if you want to lower it. if you still wanna lower your 4x4, you can go down a few inches. towing can be done from a lifted truck, a stock truck, down to a bagged and bodied dually. you should run air bags as suspension or at least as helper bags. wheels are a personal preference.

I'm not sure on duallys but my '99 Z71 silverado is lowered 4/6 and I tow with it a lot. I have put about 40K on it that way without much problems.

If I knew for sure I could lower it that much that would be great . maybe someone can give me the details on how to do it. Thanks you guys and thanks for welcoming me . 4 and 6 with 22's would look pretty good I think....
