I am wanting to put drop spindles on the front of my 1996 chevy dually. But, i seen on other forums i would have to run a 17" wheel or bigger. I was told the guys on this site would know more about it. Is this true? Or can i just leave the wheels i have on it?

I might be wrong on this, so anybody feel free to correct me. I believe that the reason why they say to use 17 or bigger is due to scrub line issues. In other words if you happen to get a flat in the front, running a sixteen inch wheel, your crossmember might dig into the road. Again I could be wrong on this. Maybe someone can give you a more definitive answer.

I'm currently running a 5/7 drop on my '93 with 16" wheels. I know that if I get a flat, I'm in trouble.

DZL1.
