So, I picked up a 91 chevy ext cab the other day that is lowered. Who knows what kinda shit is going on under it. I haven't put it ona a hoist yet but do know the frame is c notched and the front is in desperate need of shocks. Not sure how they dropped the front yet. I've got some new KYB front for a stock ride height truck. Would it be kosher to throw these in? I could fab up some buckets for the stud end of the shocks to mount to. I don't want to haveta wait for shocks to be ordered and I allready have these. I've searched on here quite a bit but haven't found an answer to my exact question.
I plan on doing truck arms with wats link this winter and building twin turboed LS chevy for it. I plan on towing with it to. LOTSA PLANS, we'll see!!!
Thanks,

they'd be fine for the back...but I'd be concerned that they are too long for the front.

Ok well, I put one side on. It definitely rides way better. It looks like whoever lowered it just heated up the coil Tijuana slam job. The spring seems to be slightly bound and rubbed a hole in the old shocks. I think I'm gonna get the right springs and so on. I would like to run "stock" shocks so mabe maybe extend the top of the tower with a cup?? How would i know what spindles I got? factory or?? Gonna do the other shock tomorrow.
Thanks.
