What size air tank you guys run??

What size air tank you guys run?? What do you think is the best size??

you'll get a different answer from everyone in here.

on my dually i run two 5 gals, with a 200psi switch.

I have a single 5 gallon tank on my dually and run 200psi.....it drops to about 120psi when i pick my truck up but with my Oasis in 25-30 seconds its back to 200psi

I understand that. Just wondering what is the most common/good size? Was wondering which of the following: 5, 8, or 12 is most commonly used. I was thinking about running a 12 but had some concerns about fill time and mounting location.

Every setup is different. I personally like just enough storage to lift from layed out to drive height ( with a little to spare) but makes sure it kicks on the compressor so the next time I have a full tank to lift again. Some run too big of tank(s) and wont get the comp to kick on so for the second lift they dont have enough air and have to wait for the comp. I have an edc on mine and will eventually run 2 of them. I am in patient and hate waiting for air. That is the one thing I miss about hydros. Unlimited lift cycles on damd, no waiting.

No doubt - no we're talking. What size tank you run?? I'd like to get a decent comp to start until I can run and edc on mine as well. Thinking 2 5 gallons maybe.n

I am at 10.5 as I remember, it has been a long time since i put them in. I think one is 8 and the other 2.5

On my Dodge, I'm running (2) 5 gal tanks. And a 3/4 HP 4 cfm pump. 150psi switch. Doing air on the Chevy now and will use the same setup.

I'm the type of guy that will make something if it will save me a buck. I have always hated paying almost 100 bucks of my hard earned cash to have a cheaply made air tank that is just like everyone else's.
So long story short I had a friend acquire a shit load of empty fire extinguishers. He gave me 4 of them for free. They've all had the valves remove, are all 4 gallon each, and were all tested within the last year to hold 600 psi. So I'm going to attach them together and run them where one of my stock square body saddle tanks previously went. I'll probably leave them looking just like they are lol.

I almost forgot to mention that I have a York 209 I'm trying to make work on my cummins swap. If I was running smaller electric compressors I wouldn't run that much air storage.
