bumpers

I was wanting to take my front bumper and remove all the crap off of it and and have it cut and make it about 3" taller/lower to the ground and have it chromed does anyone know of anyone that can do such or know where it can be done

you need to get with a good street rod shop. they do custom bumpers and then replate them all the time. there is a cold chrome process they use that doesnt affect any fillers you may need to use. ( the same thing they plate plastic with) later, bgboy

Or you could find one of the old 4x4 Work trucks with the smoothie bumper on it. They are normally a bit taller because of the 4x4 and they are all chrome with no plastic.

Solid chrome, yes......taller.....no

just make your own up the big thing with having them chromed is make sure your welds are clean with no pits or slag hung in them and make sure you have good penitration also you don't want to dig in when you grind your welds you want to grid as if your block sanding for paint

because platers cant polish out grind marks
