It may need that much if he is running a larger rim tire combo. Joe knows what he is doing and I am sure it will be ok when finished.

Looks good.

I Z'd mine when I did it, it was something like 7" I think, but I did the Z, then cut off the bottom of the framerail, instead of the top side. Not much different than what that looks like, except it is all new metal for the rails. I looked at different ways to do mine, and came up with about 50 different ways to get the same end result. and chose that one. All in all its just getting the spindle centerline the right distance from the ground, and it takes some thinking for a huge ass tire.

That's what I was thinking.

The big Z is kinda of an illusion, the top of the stock frame drops about five or six inches right where they cut it. The bottom of the frame looks like it might be around four inches lower than a stock frame from the pictures. Channeling the engine crossmember & setting the engine closer to the crossmember might give you enough room to fit a stock hood, depending on you air cleaner. Anyway the build is looking bad ass.

The front crossmembers hang below the bottom of the frame. Without z'ing it will hit first. If you raise it your frame will lay but if you don't the back of your frame will but the front will just lay crossmember. Which is more than okay. They still look lower than a shitbox with the front crossmember laying on the ground.
