What are you guys doing to get rear end to tuck. My dodge 3/4 ton with the adapter seems like it is to wide. Have any of you narrowed a rearend and exactly what does it take to do it? Have any of you ran a 4-link inside of the frame rails? What are the cons of doing this? Any words of WISDOM would be appreciated!

Most guys run a cab and chassis rear also known as a C&C rear and some widen their fenders.

I narrowed my rearend 6.5 inches overall.

then just had new axles machined.

You need someone that has a rearend narrowing jig to do it.

Otherwise c&c rearend.

I got a single cab 04 dually that lays 24s and we narrowed the rear 10 inches total for the wheels to tuck.....and the 4 link is on the inside of the frame....here are some pics of it...

And Moser resplined the factory axles....

You can also use a SRW axle 14 Bolt with your DRW axle hubs, you can use weld on caliper brakets for disc brakes on the 14 bolt, the disc brakes will clear the big Semi wheels.

I have narrowed a couple of 14 Bolts & a Dana 70HD, I have the jig to narrow the housings. FYI Dana 60 & 70 spindles are the same as the GM 14 Bolts.

This 70HD was narrowed to be SRW axle width with SRW axle hubs, the pinioin is offset to be used in a Land Cruiser running 44" Boggers & a Big Block Chevy.

Hey ratmosphere what kind of a triangulated, pitman arm, antisway set up do you have on the rear I cant tell from the pics. Also it looks great!!! Do you have any pics of the front set up? What year is your truck and did you have to cut out anything to make the wheels tuck in front? What size wheels are those 22's or 24's?

I can't think of anything else to ask now but give me time! Thanks

Forgive me if i dont use the right words...the back has a track bar that goes from the drivers front lower 4 link bar under the chunk to the rear passenger side 4 link bar...its bent in the middle so when i lift it it doesn't hit the drive shaft...which it will if i lift it too high....I don't have any pics of the front setup and yea we had to move alot to get the wheels to tuck...batteries, abs computer....some other stuff as well. And those are 24s...its an 04....its got hand made uppers and lowers (guy that bagged it made them) and you have to move the upper mounts up like 3 inches to keep from getting an ass load of camber when its laid out...and the front sway bar goes around the back, under the transmission, and back around to the oher side...took him a while to figure out exactly how to do that, but he got it, plus it looks cool having a reverse sway bar...oh and im not exactly sure on the size of the notch...but its big..theres a shit load of little stuff he did to make it all work....im glad ya like it
