I see that you are shortening your control arms. Do you have any pics I need to do mine and was just wondering what would be the best way. Are you building a jig? It said you are gonna raise your lower balljoint up 3/4 inch. What is the reason for that, I am running the same size wheel and tire you are and I dont have any prob with layin out. Are you running drop spindles? and also did you have to notch the upper for the steering shaft? Sorry for the book just never done it before and want to make sure i dont mess something up. Thanks

The way I shortened my arms was by taking a grinder with a cutoff wheel and cutting the arm on both sides of the balljoint, then across the back of the ball joint. It will almost be a square peice of metal with the balljoint in middle. Then slide that peice back the desired measurement and weld it back into place. Thats what I did on mine anyways. Did it with the arms still on the truck and all.

since i already had everything cut off i stepped it just as a precaution, when you shorten the arms you will loose some travel because the arc the arms is taking is now shorter. so you will loose some lift and drop. they will be at a sharper angle. hope this makes sense. mine lays no prob now. main thing holdin mine up was the upper balljoint angle, esp after shortening them, i will post pix soon. and the way chase said to do it is a great idea aswell. didnt think of that one. and i have LAIM 3 inch spindles
