About a month ago I mentioned I was looking for a regular cab 88-00 body style dually. Well I found one not to far from the house. It is a 2000 GMC with a 7.4 big block, 5 speed. Nice truck has about 100,000 miles. Single owner truck the guy just used it around his house and to tow his horse trailer. The truck has some minor body damage where a deer hit the truck and cracked the fender no big deal to fix. I have already ordered a set of wheels. 17" (Eagle 097 and 098 style, machined with black windows)I know not semis but I can always swap over from my sq body if I need to run big wheels. I am waiting on the drop kit from BellTech got a 5/8 kit and we will massage it to be more like a 7/10 when finished. I also bougth a short bed from down in Texas and after getting the truck lowered I will take it to Hills Hot Rods and Jason is going to cut the frame and install the short bed and dually fenders. I am hoping this will all happen in the next month or so. I will get some pictures this weekend and post as the progress takes place. I cant believe how clean the truck is I bought, when you get underneath it you can still see the bottom of the cab is painted red and the frame and suspension has no surface rust.

Congrats on the find...regular cabs sure got pretty tough to find near the end of OBS, unless you were getting a 3500HD which only came in regular cab anyway (from the factory.)

Gotta love a Vortec big block, gonna scoot that shorty around just fine.

PICS

BTW speaking of a std. cab on semi's, I had bought an '89 reg cab dually OBS a while back that the dude had 22's or 24's, can't remember, anyway his ol lady blew it up and he sold it to me without the rims. I had a picture of it w/the rims somewhere and now can't find it. It wasn't slammed though, so IMO it looked a little goofy. Woulda looked tight slammed w/milled semi's. Oh, the chrome plastic side mirrors, plate hanging on the Esky billet grille, billet gas door, steps, and the gay euro taillights didn't help it either. Some styles just shouldn't be mixed...
