Well here is the first round mods for the new dually. Bumpers and grill have been brushed, new lights in some places waiting on the others to come in mail, debadged, lowered with 5/8 belltech plus some modifing, new tries and wheels you get the picture. The first few photos are before and then the afters. Let me know what you think. I am still not sure about the wheels, the back ones I like a lot the front I still dont know. If LOCKONE can get the steel semis going I will swap to them I think.

Looks Dope, Bro. Seriously...looks real clean.

I dig the wheels. I'd leave 'em as-is.

Looks good Jack.

Should have those hub rings done this afternoon.

Awesome Trevor! let me know if I owe you anything else for making those I know you having to make them was not part of our original deal. Thanks for the comments.

Truck looks killer!

Now it's tradition for us to all say how we would have done it different, blah blah blah all the while I don't have anything that cool sitting in the driveway, here goes anyway

That drop combined with the front tire size has your scrub line REALLY low, like you might grind the bottoms of your shocks off on speed bumps. What's the measurement down there?

Rear is a little high, you leaving it like that for towing capacity or just the way it's worked out for now? Would look better leveled-off.

Windows need tint badly!

OK again, just BS'in around - truck really looks killer. I'm jealous!

Thanks for the opinion thats why I am here! As for the stance I have about 2.5" from the ground to the bottom of the front cross member I have been driving the truck for about 1 month the way it sits and have yet to scrub on anything. I made a mistake by going to 17" wheels because I had to have LOCKONE get me a set of custom machined 17" inner steel wheels for the back and then I had a hard time finding the right size staggered tires with matching tread patterns. I ended up with Toyo Proxes2 the fronts are 225/55-17 and the rears are 255/60-17 I really wanted a 235 for the front but it was not available with out having a taller side wall. I would love to bring the back down a 1" or so but I am so close to the fenders with the side of the tires now I will probably rub. If I change to 22" steel wheels I will narrow the rear end and then it can drop more. I will be getting windows tinted next week, but I just replaced all the window seals and window channeling so tint had to wait till that was installed. Hoping to get it painted in the next month or 2, I really wanted to make it a short bed dually but after some though I kind of changed my mind still on the fence. Going to two tone the truck with Hot Rod Flatz paint using on of thier metallic flats on top and black on bottom. Should be ok for a daily driver when finished.

Yeah as long as whatever you cross, the tires are going up on it too, you'll be OK - but if you hit a chunk of something in the road, that'd be bad.

Just for reference I've got 5.5" to lowest point of lower control arms (either the bend right by the ball joint, or the bottom of the shock, same distance) on my 2500LD since I've installed the new slightly taller tires,

I know it's not comparing apples to apples but there ya have it.

EDIT jeez I hate how the forum software resizes even small pics, that thing is 640x480 and the resize makes everything crunchy as hell.

Thanks for the headsup. nice looking truck by the way, I would love to have an all black truck but dont have the energy to keep it looking perfect with no scratches or swirl marks. I really like the wheels.

Those are 17's?!?! Sick! I thought they were 19's.

Trevor cut 'em?

I might run a set of 17's now...I'm diggin' the look.

Let me clarify, the front and back outside wheels are 17" from Eagle wheels style 097 and 098, Trevor made me a custom 17" steel wheels for the inside rear wheels which were sweet had I know his steel 17s would be so nice I probaly would have just ordered 6 of them and had them powdercoated they are a killer steel wheel they are a 5 spoke design like the new 09 chevy duallys are running.
