1988 W/T 1/2 ton RCSWB to Dually conversion

Well i figured why not a build thread... most info can be found here with lots of pics...



Here is the updates

got the lights done for now.. Finally driving it around...

Took it Monday for alignment and the main shop I wanted to use couldnt get to it till Tuesday, so i took it to 3 different places with no luck...

1st place: Monday morning was a friends work, I had them use Castrol Synthetic 10-40 ,but they used 10-30 House brand : Then come in the waiting room 2 hours later to tell me they dont have the right tools cause my headers are in the way.... By the way the mechanic tried adjusting my insanely rich carb and f**ed it up worse.. i told them when i got there, Hey guys its running rich and I am waiting on smaller power valves to fix it, so please dont flood it trying to crank it.. I repeated this to each shop that day..

2nd , 1 and half hours of sitting there and they say , Oh we cant get it on our rack, its too low.. sorry..:cussing:

3rd shop: Same place that pressed my upper control arm bushings, they pulled the NTB thing and threw in the headers are in the way, after 2 hours.:deadhorse
luckily I didnt have to sit there cause a friend gave me a ride to drop it off and pick it up..

But I got it done the next day by the place I wanted to use... Thats what i get for being impatient

sucks cause the preferred shops mechanic adjusted my carb, he said it wouldnt idle and he f**ed it up too.: I think he had the a/c on like a tard and thats why it wouldnt idle..

The carb was fixxed.. I fixxed it Monday night and was late for work trying to get it done... No reason for him to fool with it

Me ,the wife and our kid had to sit on the side of the road readjusting my carb about a block away from that shop.:wtf:

Those pics are from last Saturday..

Today i put my old tail pipes back on. (courtesy of a HF flux core welder), but I cut it off just after the rearend so its shorter..Sounds good..

I also put on some Mcgaughys 2" drop shackles so it sits level now... It definitely looks better... Gonna get the most of the back of the bed done tomorrow also.....

man this thing handles like a sports car with the widetrack rear and sway bar upfront...

They are some leds i found.. They are hand made by some people in Michigan.. I have to get 2 more amber and 2 more red for the dually fenders.. then get a few spares..

I finally put on 2" drop shackles so its almost level..

Can I get the contact info for the LED manufacturer? I've been looking for similar lights for my Peterbilt...
