insane04's slow build

well got my new addition of a 98 C3500 crew cab with one spun rod bearing! BS it had 5 spun bearings!!! opted for new GM motor from local dealer. taking old motor out figured out why motor screwed up. what ever you do, DO NOT USE SILICONE ON THE INTAKE GASKETS besides the front and rear of the lower. they used it all over the plastic rubber gaskets and it got into the valley and down to the oil pump and starved the pump for pickup.

got old engine out last night and dressed the new one. hopefully if all goes well it will be running tonight! will post more pics later when i figure out how to downsize files...

well almost done just radiator, oil filter and fan shrouds tomorrow evening and should be driving!!

hell yea makie that progress

well it was runnign and all last night but didnt have a headlight swith with me so didnt bring it home.... will be home today then clean up work starts!!! then drop or bag?? and 19.5 or 16 eagles?

well drove it 100 miles today and love it! now on to next on list!!!

cleaning the interior and front end needs idler arm and alignment. the dealer didnt have the idler in stock so will get it monday.
