Dodge tow mirrors on 2000 Chevy

Maybe this has been done here before, but I thought I would share my version of installing Dodge fold-out tow mirrors on my dually.

How hard was the install? Any cutting or mods to get it done? Lmk..

It was not hard at all. I did have to drill new holes. But, I made a cardboard template that was the outline of the base so I could get them right where I wanted them. They are manual, and I might try power down the road. I have never explored the wiring conversion, but I imagine it's power up, power down, power in and power out?!

I was wondering are those the 1999-2001 or the 2002-2008 flip mirrors. The mirrors look the same but I think the bodies were a little different. J/W which one fit the Chevy that well. Thanks in advance.

They were off a 2nd gen, so 2000 I think. Shouldn't matter tho, you have to drill new mounting holes never the less.

Thanks for the info. Fixing to get a pair for my dads dually. I am going to go with power & heated mirrors so I will let ya'll know how the wire conversion goes. These should help him with towing his 38ft fifth wheel.
