Couple pics I took while I was trying to figure out how much I need to narrow my rear end! I'm thinking I need to narrow it 4" a side. Anybody that narrowed there's remember how much you narrowed yours?

Don't mess with getting it narrowed. Go get a HD 3/4 ton rear out of a Suburban which is 6 3/8" narrower than the 1 ton rear end. Problem solved for one quarter the cost.

No... It's only 5" narrower. The dually rear end is 72" wide. The SRW 14 bolt is 67" wide, whether it be full floating or the 8 lug semi floating, but I heard the 6 lug semi floating 2wd that is 65" wide. The C&C rear end is 63" wide. If you use C&C / dually hubs on a SRW 14 bolt you will have a 63" wide rear end also, but the flange for the brakes on the housing will not be in a spot that any combination of the brake drums will fit, you'd have to do a disc brake swap with this combination.

Well I'm trying to keep this rear end. I don't really care for the streched fender, so narrowing this is my only option. I'm afraid the tire size I'm going to run on the back is going to make me narrow it even more. I'm 100" out side tire to outside tire, but I don't have my bed together to get a measurement on it. If any of you guys that has a stock bed together if you could measure yours for me I would appreciate it.

my SRW rear end was short enough to tuck 22s without widening fenders....the semifloater SRW i had in my first dually was 2 inches shorter

the stock width inside the edges of the dually fenders i wana say was like 93 1/2" or maybe a little more. ill go measure mine. i cut everything out without removing all that stuff.

but anywho, my rearend is out of a 90's chevy C & C dually. idk bout the whole "SRW" thing, mine is NOT a Single Wheel Rearend at all. it was manufactured as a Dual Wheel Rearend. (Like in a service mechanic's trucks).

my C&C rear is 10 3/4" narrower than my factory rearend. i dont measure from outside to outside, i measure between the backing plates, then i figure in the depth of the hub, the thickness of the inner wheel, then the offset of the outside wheel.

my factory rear was 55" and the C&C is 44 1/4" those measurements are (plate to plate).
