Hey just curious if you have more info on the dipstick idea, or maybe a link to a tech write up about doing this? I'm running a york on my truck when I get to that point, I think it's a great idea.

ive never seen anyone else do it man, i was just standing in the shop looking at it and it just hit me lol.

i just took the bottom plate off of it, drilled and tapped it with 3/8" pipe threads. i used a stainless steel 3/8" NPT to 1/4" compression fitting 90* then i used a dipstick from a GM small block.

i can take more pics of it if you need.

Ok so ive been staring at my motor for about the last 3 hours trying to find a way to mount my EDC....my oasis went out few days ago....i simply cant mount mine like yours is mounted.....my hose from the intercooler to turbo is in the way of mounting it as low as yours and i also still have the factory dodge A/C compressor down there too with all the lines running everywhere.....im extremely frustrated at the moment....guess ill go to bed and wake up tomorrow with a clear head and star at it some more

Ok boss here is what i come up with yesterday on my EDC....it works but ive got to add an idler pulley between the york and alternator cause there is very little belt contact on alt causing it to not charge right.....removed the original top alt bracket and built a brace to take its place then one brace off bottom down to a A/C compressor bolt....it is very sturdy yet still vibrates....i hope when i get the extra idler on it it take some of that away

man that otta work pretty good i bet! just make sure its stout! if you put some kind of unloader on it, it will let it have a soft start every time.

if it starts under pressure it might jerk right when the clutch engages. im putting a pressure swith on mine like off of a shop compressor, $20 at Atwoods farm & ranch store.
