truck is already bagged and bodied on 19's. bought 22's last night and got control arms on the way from mmw. Question is, are the cab and chassis and the 3/4 ton or 1 ton srw the same width bolt to bolt. all i can find is that the backing plates are different. i found a 3/4 ton axle for $150, but want to know if it will work for my application. going to re engineer the two link and panhard to a 4 link. but want to keep wheels under the truck so i dont have to stretch the fenders out, just raise them... any input is appreciated, will post pics when i start tearing into her.

Dont know if a 3/4 rear will work but I do know that if you use a 1 ton single wheel axle and just put your adapters and dual wheels on it you wont have to widen your fenders or narrow the axle. My wheels clears the frame rails by an 1.5" on both sides and clears the fenders.

Cab & chassis rear is narrower than a SRW rear. How much narrower...I don't have the numbers, sorry.

They are the same housing, it is the brakes that make the difference.

Thanks for replying. Any guesses as to if I buy this 3/4 rear and I put disc on it if will work. Or just find a 1ton or c&c?

Another thought. Anyone know how wide a dodge 3/4 ton rear would be. That might be easier to find ...

i used a 98 SRW 2500 rear on my 85 dually....i was around 8 inches shorter overall....not sure how much shorter the SRW from 98 will be in same body style truck though

Ill try. I keep coming up with more mods. And therefore more $$$.... so Idk when ill get rolling on this thing. Trying to get research together so hopefully I can avoid any seriously costly mistakes..... ill try and post pics of the truck now and some of the modifications as we go along.
