well i have a couple of things here to add. first off i wanna say i love the bench seats. but hey the big name companies installed center consoles for a good reason. (more than just to hold clutter!)

truck goes into shop Tomorrow for the rims 19.5" classics and air bag suspension front and back. should be back home Monday. not looking fwd to it leaving stock for now. these are the 16" alcoas.

i pulled both bench seats out and tore out all the brown/tan carpet and pulled the seat belts out too. I'm keep the dashboard and the door paneling somewhat similar for now. i layer down DynoMat on the entire floorboard. one, to reduce road noise and two to keep my cab from rattling from the system i installed. (more on that later) i went to the local salvage yard and picked up a decent set of 97 Tahoe bucket seats with a custom center console that had a tv in the rear section installed. i cut the carpet where it needed and made brackets and weld the brackets down then bolted the seats to the brackets. turned out nice. i have the driver seat nd the center console installed so far. i have a service dog which is a pure bred German Shephard. he's still a pup and at 73 lbs he is only getting bigger. so i maybe decide to leave the rear seat out for now. i went ahead and installed a 13.5"W7 JL sub in a ported box through the bed to the cab and installed two amps on the back wall. i also wired in a capacitor so it wouldn't constantly kill my battery. i ended up just cutting out the width andy length of the box and slid it in flush so i wouldn't loose cab space and also i would have to worry with the normal sealing issues that come with porting the bed of a truck. i still have 2 more 12s i wanna install in the truck so we will see where they go. i will snap some pics tomorrow of the interior so you guys have an idea of what I'm working with, sadly tuesday i am dropping the truck off will be in the shop til the weekend getting the bags and rims but oh i man can't!! then ill def be a pic whore!!!

Starter went out this weekend! Had a cracked housing. Looked more into it and seems when its not properly shimmed this will happen. With core starter a new one was $44. Not too bad. Ill be installing that this afternoon so I can drive her to the shop tomorrow.

Thinking of doing the Mat Black exterior paint. Not sure tho that of course is further down the road.

Thank ya kindly. I had a Niagara falls leak in my tranny when I first got it u can see the puddle under the truck in the first pic. Needless to say I had to get the entire tranny rebuilt dude that had it before me tried to drill a four bolt into the housing and the internal shaft leaked bad. All good I got a new TH400 no worries I guess that was a part of the restore lol

Well I dropped the beast off yesterday at the shop. I should be picking it up end of next week and will post up pics.

Current installations going on at shop:
Front and Back set up bags. Nothing special just a single 3 gallon tank no c-notch. I don't wanna cut my bed out. I know they do a mild c notch but still. I should be able to tuck the tire a decent amount with this setup we will see. I'm also getting the 19.5" classics installed. Really can't wait to get her back. I'm going down to San Diego this week to meet with a guy about a stroked 383 that dynos at 620hp. so we will see about that. Should push the Dually fairly well!

looks good..

did you seal up the speaker box on the outside of the truck ? i would hate to see that $650.00 jl sub get wet.....

the capactior you have is pretty much a burden on your electrical system. a second after the bass hits. all the power that was stored is gone and it fights the car to charge itself back up..... a extra battery would have done a better job of keeping up with your system.
your supposed to use a capacitor to "help" your already beefed up electrical . high output alt, mutiple batts. etc.. all a capacitor really does after that is keep the voltage from varying up and down...

Good luck with that and still passing CA emissions testing.

Sorry. That came out rather dickish.

What I meant to say is: you should really think twice about swapping that motor in. It's gonna be damn near impossible to make it emissions compliant. Even if you swap back and forth between the stocker and the 383 to get it to pass smog, you can still get busted at one of those mobile emissions checkpoints.

Whatcha gon' do with them 16's?
79duallyc30   +1y
Campy: thats another thought i had too. Just to stick with the 454 and dress it up. I just want the truck to move a lil better.

The 16s? Sell em i guess. U lookin?
