Thanks guys. Debating whether or not to paint my truck just like the one pictured, or just repaint mine its original color. Does anyone know of a good place to send the trim to get redone? Prefferably in CA?

I recently went back home to sunny California on leave during the holidays and put my dually back together. Here are a few pictures of the engine

Installed dynamat on the floor, inside the doors and on the underside of the roof. Hoping for a nice quiet interior

Thanks guys! I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Definitely took loads of work. Iarodder, there's nothin wrong with just using it! This Heavy Chevy is back to being my daily driver. This hot SoCal weather can be more than I want to deal with sometimes, so I need to figure out the AC, the fan doesn't work on Hi, or when the AC is switched to MAX. Not sure what is going on there...Any ideas would be great!

Well I've taken care of a few things since my last post. The AC has been fixed and recharged. There were some bad connections and the main fuse for the fan was blown. I had a small coolant leak that ended up being a small crack in an old dry heater hose. I also had my transmission leak looked at. That turned out to be more than I bargained for. They removed the trans because it looked like it was a front pump seal, once they got it off, the true state of the transmission revealed itself. Most of my seals were junk and my forward gear clutch packs were burned. The trans shop said they were surprised the truck even made it there. My reverse band had deep gouges in it and the kickdown for the passing gear was worn out. No wonder nothing would move but the fuel guage when I would try to pass! Truck runs great now but the transmission stole my funding that would have been used to linex the bed. That'll have to wait
