Hey, need some info on the best ride results.
I have a 96 CC Dually that I want to drop, I want to go with a 7 / 9 drop using springs

6/8 is the typical drop for that generation and that'll be springs and spindles up front and flip kit in the back, to get it a little lower in front you'll have to cut the coils and in back you could use drop shackles. I'm not a big fan of cutting coils but to get 1" more isn't that much cutting; do a little bit at a time and re-install and drive it around to get the spring to settle. But I tell you what, before you cut anything, do the 6/8 drop and measure your lower control arm distance to the ground, also note how close your gas tank is to the ground too. The lower you go you'll find on a long wheelbase truck like a CC that the gas tank will drag on sharp driveway transitions. Hell my 5/7 extended cab longbed 1500 did it, snagged the front tank strap and bent the shit out of it.

Thanks for the info. You still have a good ride with the 6/8 drop?

Like Richard said 6-8 is pretty common for this body style, I have mine at 6-8 and the ride is good! not great! but good! I wouldn't waste the money on a good coil just to hack it, what is the point in that?? if ya wanna go lower then bag the front but you still will have some clearance issuse using your stock A-Arms, I finally bagged mine up front but I am running the Cool Arms instead of stock.
