So Just Picked Up A 95 CC. Already A 4/6 Drop. So There Are 215/60/16's On It!!! Ha Ha Ha!!!!! And To Boot, They Are Toyo Extenza's. Ha Ha Ha. Obviously They Didn't Know What They Were doing. I Think The Load Rating On Those Are 1000-1100 lbs. Ya.....Scary Drivin This Thing. Anyways, My Problem Now. What Are Some Of You Guys Using For Your 4/6 Drop. Good Luck Any Particular Brand/Size? I Read Before I Write So..... Some One Was Saying 225/70/16???? I Still Want The Low Look But I Believe That Puts It 3" Taller Than I Am Right Now???????????? It's Now My Daily/Project. 16's Have To Stay For Now. Poop-E. Pullin Boats And Car Haulers. Any Input Would Be Great. Thx

Well at minimum you need some XL or LT type tires on there. The two sizes you listed are closer to 2.5" in difference, not 3", and also remember it's only going to bring you half that higher off the ground.

Not a dually application but on my '94 C2500LD extended cab I ran Toyo Proxes S/T which are meant for trucks; instead of some wimpy 1300-1500 lb rating, the size I ran was like 2000 lbs I think.

On my new project, the '58 Apache on the '94 C3500 dually chassis, it had passenger car (standard load) 16's on the front trying to hold up the weight of the 6.5TD and NV4500. No good! I put BF Goodrich Commercial T/A in an E load range, 215/85/16 (stock Ford size, easy to find) they have a max load of 2680 lbs at 80 psi, though I've only got them around 60 for my needs.

Ya, If Ran The 85's I'd be rubbin one out! Found another guy runnin the General "Grabber Uhp's". Checked those out in 225/70/16's with my tire guy. 2177 Load rating. Dont Know what Letter That Is As Far As Tires Go, But He's Pullin Weight with No Issues. Tire Guys........"Oh You Cant Run Those" "Thats 800lbs Off The mark For That Truck"........ But From What I've Seen Around Here (this site), These Guys Are Pullin Big Time Weight w/ Semi's And Rubber Bands!!!!!! So I Don't Think Ill Have Any Problems Being "800lbs Off The Mark" Pullin A Boat Or A "1" car carhauler. Time Will Tell. And Your Right, I Guess 2.5 inch Difference Isn't Gonna Kill Me For Now. Thx For The Input S.O.G. By The Way.......That APACHE IS SIIICK. Love The T.D. !

Firestone FR-710 is a extra load rated tire for trucks [smallest profile]but it is 235/60/16 back stocks are really close to touching[if do can cause tire failure] most car tires are load rated around 1150 these are 1700 . I have ran every brand over 10 years and these are only ones that didnt have tread peal off on front and its scary as hell to have blowout on front. it also fucks up innerfender! I LOVE THESE TIRES . I have towed enclosed carhauler and 35ft. fithwheel. but with 3speed turbo 400 and 4-10 reargears at 70 its 3500rpm and eating gas getting 6/8 mpg[lots of cash]I plan to do 3/73 gears and a gearvenders over/under tailshaft kit .fyi when i rebuilt tranny i put 1500 stall and shift kit . all the hondas hate getting killed by old chevy dually lol!!

So are you running firestone's on all 4 corners...or just the front? Sorry got confused when you were talking about the rear. And ya, had a blow out on my slammed LB 72' chevy back in the day. Very Very Scary!!!! Tires are first on my list so i can move on to the body/paint/interior. Bags N semi's in the future. Gear Vendors???? Pricey Son, But fricken Awesome. Oh Torque converters!!! Harris performance,(a TBI Nut) Recommends a 2000-2200 stall. Guess the 95+ s-10's use em. Frees up a bunch of power and saves GAS!!!!!! Little much on the street I would think. But he says its bearable. Thx For The Input, Ill Check Out Those Tires Also.

Let Me Re-Iterate On The Torque Converter Thing. I Said "It Saves Gas". Sorry, Didn't Mean To Say That. Meant That It Frees Up Power With Out Hurting Your Current Gas Mileage!!!!!! Sorry Bout That. But You Runnin A 400,,,,Don't think there is much to do about that for gas!!! But Love The Honda Killers!!!!!!! LOL

I'm running 245/75R16 on my lowered dually.
I was running 235/85Rr16 before I lowered it & it originally came with 21/85R16 on it.
Love them. There is no rubbing & there low profile.
I love the look!!
Check out my pictures on my thread!

I can't remember the load rationg but they are a 10 ply LT series.
