Im brand new to the site and it seems this is the place to go for help and advice on my new project.

1986 Chev 3+3 dually with 454 and 4 speed. only 50,000 original miles and one owner finished in a gorgeous 2 tone brown lol.

since it is a 2wd my plan is to lower it and possibly bigger wheels on it. I want to be able to tow my pontoon boat with it as well that weighs about 2000 pounds which isnt too heavy.

As much as i love the look with the 22 semi's and layed and bagged on the ground, its just not practical for me as im not a welder and dont want to make a major project out of this.

Im looking for some suggestions and advice on what would be a practical and reasonably priced mods to turn this rig into a neat hot rod. Ive got brand new tires on the original wheels already and dont mind keeping them and put the money into lowering instead. Im open for any suggestions.

Thanks! Ill upload pics soon when i figure out how to shrink my pics down.

Looks good, I guess I'd suggest a 6-8 drop, which just consist's of 3" spindles, 3" springs, and a rear flip kit. Most of that is bolt on with the exception of having to do a small notch above the rear end for that much drop. If you look at my build on the first page there is a pic of my '79 with that said drop on it. I no longer have that truck but it rode good and could haul that kind of load without a problem. Good luck, just poke around here and don't be afraid to ask questions.
