i put a cummins in my 3 3 in my 84 chevy c 30 and i picked up some 3 inch drop spindles hella cheap. got them on and its hella raked. i want to level it out and have checked into it. all i can find is a 2 inch shackle drop and a 2 inch front hanger relocation bracket. u cut off and replace the front one. the thing i am wonering is how is everyone static dropping these things to get them level? i am using her as my tow rig right now and will eventually bag and body it so i dont want to get too expensive with static dropping. i was looking at the setup wondering if i could just do a spring under setup and put my stock shackles on it. than do a small c notch??? ive been researching and cant figure out what people are doing. please help

Axle flip kit, puts the axle on top of the rear leaf springs. That alone will get you between 4-5 inches of drop. If you do that with 2" shackles you will very likely need to notch the frame. I had to notch my old one 3" just so it didnt bottom out on the axle tubes, but its so worth it.

Who offers it? Or do I need to just buy perches and u bolts and c notch it

Here is my truck with 3" spindles, 2" shackles, 2" hangers, removed top overload spring, removed bottom thick leaf, removed 2 additional bottom leaves.

I planned on doing helper bags, but I ended up putting the two regular bottom leaves back in. It raised the back up about an inch from this picture. It has a little rake, but it still looks good. it tows pretty good too, but I haven't towed real heavy. I just towed a 5000 lb jeep on a 2000 lb 18' car hauler.

If you want to do a flip kit, I have one that I'm not going to use. Let me know if you are interested and I will get pics and figure out how much I want for it.

You want the ass to come down but you're not going to use the flip kit?

You still need to get the rear axle on top of the leafs that alone will drop it 4 or 5 inches. Yes you can just buy u-bolts and perches but it has to go on top regardless. I too would remove the overload spring it will ride so much nicer.

no i plan on going axle over but i want to have all the parts i need to make this thing happen before i tear it apart so i dont have to have it torn apart for forever but i want to accomplish what i need without running into unforseen issues? if i just go axle over can i just do a small notch without completely cutting though the whole frame or just notch and back part of it? tutt send me pics of what you got and info please?

Yes you can do a partial notch, that's what I did on my old '79.

If you don't care about massive body roll, crazy lean over every time you make the slightest turn, go for it. Rear one isn't incredibly important but the front one is. I personally wouldn't remove either one.

Man, I'm not trying to be harsh but it sounds like you have a lot of ideas for suspension mods that really are...bad ideas.

Maybe let us know exactly what you're trying to achieve with the truck, what your skill level and budget are, and that can help us make some suggestions that are positive instead of just shooting down the stuff you're asking about?
