1977 c30 1ton

My dad and I are building a 1977 chevy c30 dually and swapped a built 454 with all new headers, carb, etc. the whole nine yards. It has a 400 turbo transmission in it right now and we want to swap a 5 speed into it. Could someone give me any suggestions of the transmission and possibly help on finding the parts and a brief rundown of the process it would be greatly appreciated so we can get this big ol' bitch on the road!

82-92 camaro 5 spd junkyard parts. You'll need the trans, yoke, flywheel, master and slave cylinder (and brackets), and the pedals. Verify the lengths of the transmissions next to each other, you might have to have a different shaft made and possibly move the trans cross member. After fitting and testing, rebuild the trans because in stock form it won't handle the torque let alone a built motor
