I see lots of people going with the 265 or 305's on their 22's. Why is this?
I currently have 285/35's on my 22's. Did I make a mistake?

I don't know, maybe price is cheaper on those sizes? I run a 255/30/24 just because of hood clearance issues but haven't seem to have any issues yet...

Thanks for the reply.

I was just curious for why everyone runs those sizes

I run 265/35s on my 22s on old dually that's bagged and bodied....I run those for clearance....my 06 Duramax had 265/35-22s and the 2 fronts kept blowing out sidewall.....went up to a 265/40....same result....went up to a 285/45 and has fixed problem

Westlakes( horrible horrible quality tire) and nexens in 265/35s.... falken 265/40s.....went to a nitto 420s size 285/45 and haven't had anymore problems....my Duramax is a heavy truck....my square body has a Cummins sobuts heavy but not like my 06....I've run 265/35 Nexens on it since day 1 never had a problem

How do the outter tread on the Nitto's wear? Currently, I am running Nankang XL load range and have wore the outside shoulders out in a few months. These may be soft tires, but have a 40k warranty and @3k weight rating

I had issues with flakens then figured out it was a rubber valve stem vs metal I had wrong one on..
