i have an 1980 cc dually i have the 6/8.5 drop on mine with the helper bags im running a 215/85/16 tire... mine is a camper special so i took out i think one overload and one leaf spring it gave me a total of 9 leafs and one over load in the back or maybe thats a total of 9 i cant remember its been a day or two... i think if you wanted to go lower it shouldn't be that hard to do im going to cut my front coils ill prob take 1/2 to 3/4 of one coil out just because it doesn't sit just right in the spring pocket that should drop me another 1/2 inch or so and the rear you could prob do a shackle in the back that will bring the rear down another 2 or 3 inch deepening on where you set it at... as far as tire size i would go with a smaller tire size i got a really good deal on my tires that i couldnt pass up when i get ready for new tire ill go smaller if im turing into a kinda steap driveway they will rub my firewall just a lil

225/75/16's. 3" spindle, 3" coil, flip and drop shackle. I could stand to go about 1" lower all around, but I like my solid bed floor and the ability to be to get in and out of parking lots without getting high centered.

I never really measured, but I know I can't slide my fat ass underneath it. I can fit your standard, 3-ton floor jack under the framerail with about 1"-2" to spare.

If I had to guess, I'd say I've got about 6"-7" of ground clearance...which is really about as low as I'd like to go on a 21' + truck.

I think a step notch is mandatory when u start getting that low. The rear is easy there is shackles, hangers, removing leaves, etc. In the front either trim the coils or maybe a small z. The stock a/c will have to be removed or raised and clearanced. I would not mind if the front of my truck was one inch lower but I would have to modify my a/c some more and make custom shock mounts and that is with my drop shocks.
