djm ball joints

I was wondering if there is a heavy duty ball joint that i can put on the upper a lower control arm, i had an upper ball joint break on my 05 duramax last week pretty scary, i found that they put 1500 ball joint on them instead of the 3500 ball joints, i found some MOOG replacement that look alot beefier put its still for a 1500 anybody every had this happen to them ?

Nope, but curious as mine might need replacing

Hey am I missing something here? How does a 1/2 ton balljoint work in a 1 ton when they are different sizes and taper of stud?

I have the complete djm kit which is upper and lower and spindle all work together so the upper part of the spindle is drilled out for a 1/2 ton ball joints.

That explains that. I wouldn't use anything other then moog or An equal part. Not oreillys or autozone house brand crap.

We always use MOOG parts when replacing ball joints.
