16" tire question

So I am gonna end up keeping the 16s on my truck longer then planned. They have car tires on them right now and they aren't gonna last long. I am trying to avoid putting a tall ass tire on there. My question is, who has a somewhat lower profile tire that can at least handle the front end weight? I am not currently pulling anything with it so I do not need tall ass 10 ply tires for it and Lo Pro 16s just won't cut it.

The tire sites aren't setup for searching by load capacity.

The shortest E rated tire is a 225/75/16 that's what I have on mine and its pretty low

What about D range tires? Can they handle it?

Any pics of yours on those tires?

I used to run a 215/70/16 suv tire on my kmc slams. They were not a LT tire nor load rated but werebthe smallest I could find that would handle a decent amount of weight and also not just a car tire. I did not have any issues but doesnt mean it is right either. Most people back in the day would run a 225/60/16 or 225/65/16 as I remember. You wont find a d range tire smaller than a 225/75 either.
