shaved tail gate

Hey and thanks for the help; i would like to shave my tail gate BUT i have to open my tail gate first to open the tonneau cover. the tonneau cover has no snaps and UN latches from the inside of the box?? Does any one make something automatic?

Most tonneau covers open from the outside as they also secure the tailgate at the same time. You might be able to use a servo to pop the lid open, have it work off your alarm remote like poping a trunk of a car. Most good car stereo shops can do this for you if you need.

On another note I do have a brand new flip kit for that tailgate handle if you need one, purchased it for my 97 Dually but never installed it. Lmk..
