OK so i briefly touched on this subject when i did my new guy intro....here's the issue I'm having....
I have a 84 Chevy Silverado c30, its got a 454...Quadrajet carb, Edelbrock manifold, mild cam.
when i go out in the morning to start the truck, it wont start. There is no fuel getting to the carb. So the trick is: take off the fuel line, crank twice, wait for fuel to spit everywhere...then put the fuel line back on the carb. Now spray some starting fluid in the carb and crank and 9 times out of 10 it will start. And run great...
what is wrong? why wont the fuel get to the carb and stay there....
now the here are some ideas of the issue, that people have told me....
1) Quadra"junk" carb is the issue
2) the sending unit on the dual tank switch under the truck. (acts as a one way check valve)
3) fuel filter
I'm on a very limited budget, i just wanna get this thing running better....so any help would be Greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone...
