Hey all, I recently bought myself a 87 b2200... for $40 (but i knew the guy, its prob worth 2 hundred, mabey)

yep, he smoked a tree doing 30ish... only damage was the swaybar mounts, the radiater puke tank, and the winsheild washer resivour...

total spent, is about 200 bux so far... 100 of it is registration/plate CRAP
the issues...
it backfires after its warmed up after a high rev in gear decell
the swaybar mounting peices are shot, and my swaybars just chilling on the crossmember
the master cylinders shot, and my back brakes DONT work... and i gotta go almost to the floor to brake...

other than that, its a good truck

looks like a truck to build from the ground up. being that you wont be able to get your liscence for a while i would take your time... looks like you got quite some work on your hands. thats awesome!

o... did i mention that it has 290000 miles on it

litho graphics (as on the side) used it as a sales rep truck... untill it got rusty (prob left a bad taste in a costomers mouth, if a graphics company shows up in a rusty truck)

I think ill be using it just untill i get my lisance, and sell it when its still running... hopefully should last a while, provided i'm not too hard on it...

well, i think its outlived its life expectancy by about 100000 miles...
I dont care about the body, as long as it wont get me a ticket, and i can do the engine/interior work... suspention and electronics scare me... chokes do too
It's going to give me some fun times, and make me want to leave it somewhere and burn it...

So, anyone know what the hardware that mounts the swaybar to the frount end is called? the plate/bushing/plate thing

They are just called sway bar bushings. New ones should come with the metal brackets that hold them on.
