Hello everyone,

New mazda truck owner here, I just picked up a '88 B2200 ext cab. Lowered it with 4" block, and rolled the fenders with a bat to fit the 17s in. Im from Canada so im gonna need to raise it up for the snowy winter. I had a question about air suspension. Can I install just on the back and without any air compressor on the truck, I seen someone with just bags and he pumps it up whenever he wants at home with his air compressor, just wondering if thats some custom job or are there kits sold like that. I can do some custom stuff, but have limited welding skills. Also the cost of airbags, have no clue, im new to this whole truck scene, but i like it so far.
Any comments hints, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

you could do that.. but its kinda scary incase you have a leak or a problem.. no way to lift your truck. All you would do is put an air chuck from a compressor setup.. so you could just plug the hose onto that.

Where are you located in Canada? There's lots of shops who can do air ride pretty cheap. The salts a killer on the bags and components in the winter though.

Wow, you guys are quick, sweet.
Im from the niagara area, St Catharines to be exact.

So to do all that, I would need 2 airbags and some mounting thingamajiggies? and it goes where? in place of the aluminum block?

Probably the closest and best shop to you is Underworld Customs ( ) in Whitby.

If your on a small budget, I'd try to buy some used parts. Usually there a great buy to start because they were used for a season and then they were upgraded. They have a few used kits and parts at solo that you might be interested in. I'll check for you. Just so I have this right, you just want bags and brackets? Just to be on the safe side like Mullet was saying, you might want to add a 3 gallon tank and a manual valve. It would suck to be stuck on the road with no air.
