Noob with questions

just remember it may be a pita but once you do find everything you can be reasured that everyone else is going to be extremely jealous of you and the truck because they cant get parts. not to mention its old and everyone loves the pre 84 but not many people has the balls to go forth with an all out build on them. goodluck on the truck man

Thanks for the words of encoragement guys. I was just about to push it off already. Seems like the more I go to fix, the more I find wrong, and this thing doesn't even run all of the time yet.

I have a habit of starting things and not finishing them, so maybe with everyone's help, encouragment and some spare time I'll turn over a new leaf on this.

as weird as this sounds and such and if you were ever to push it off, would you wanna part it out well depends on if the bed and doors are in good shape.

My bed is decent but it needs work.

I haven't "officially" bought the truck from him yet anyway. He only wants $400 for the truck as is, so......if you want to buy it for parts, it would save me a bunch of work just to make it run and drive. It needs carb work, I noticed both rear wheel cylinders are leaking since I brought it home, the front rotors are rusted to hell wouldn't have it, and it needs a heater core, etc.

With that said, the bed is in pretty good shape with only a couple of small holes. As dar as the doors go, they seem to be in pretty good shape.

Well guys...........I think I have made the decision to move this thing along. When I rolled under it to drop the tank today I noticed that both frame rails are rusted through in a couple places behind the cab.

Now I will say that if someone was wanting to build their own balk half, this truck would be fine for that. Myself on the other hand just wants to find a decent driver that I can drop about 3 inches and cruise. $400 firm. Come and get it.

Oh yeah, if anyone knows of a decent 86-93 for sale, hit me up. I'm about 75 miles southeast of St. Louis, MO.

hey, I usto have a pre 86, a 80 actually. I have a 90 now. My question is how do you guys get to show your picture as you signirature. I have puctures on photobucket I am just not good with computers, but great with minis, specially mazdas!!!
