Hey Guys and Gals,
My name is Logan from Ithaca, NY. I just paid the deposit on a 86 Mazda B2000 pickup with standard cab and extended bed. I will post up some pictures next week when I take delivery of the vehicle. Nothing is really going to happen to it this winter because I need to finish up my festiva.
The festiva is a 1993 Ford Festiva with the engine and trans out of a 94 Mazda Protege. Turbocharged with a 57 trim t3/t4 running a MS1 + spark V3 standalone. I need to get the car tuned in this winter, fix the paint, and then I will move onto the truck.
Plans for the truck will be a 3" front 4" rear static drop. Larger brakes(need to research these), Bigger rims, fix the rust on the bed, and a engine swap.
I am thinking of doing a BP plus turbo swap into the truck. I see the FE3 is popular and the love boost, but I really don't care for interferance type engines. I already have a miata trans and another megasquirt, so I would just need another BP and some custome mounts, plus the usual custom stuff. Do you guys think the miata trans and 125 n/a horsepower of a BP engine would be able to pull a 1800lb festiva on a dolly a couple times a year? I would be upgrading the differential with one from a Rx7 more than likely, and a once piece drive shaft. Turbo charged I probably wouldn't push more than 10psi or about 200 horsepower. I just want something low and sporty that I can have some fun driving, but still use as a truck.
