Just traded some work for this mazda. I own Self Built Rod & Custom in Gurdon, AR. Ive been fabricating for about 5 years, and into the scene for about 7. Thanks for having me. Ill get you guys some pics. (everybody like pic's right?)

First the all important mazda....

Can anyone tell me whats missing in these two photos that may be necessary with the carb swap?

Its traditional bodydropped. Not professionally done, but not extremely hacked either. If anybody is interested, I would throw a lil cash someones way to trade for a stock cab, and that person keep their interior, because I know this one is trash. BUT... plans are a possible full chassis, but most definitely a back half. S10 spindle & rear end swap, custom control arms, 18'' KMC units with a paint scheme to match that era wheels style, and a lexan roof skin to replace the crappy rag top. Again, thanks for having me, I look forward to hearing from you guys!

Welcome to the site. It looks like you are missing the electric choke(goes on side) and the air filter but other than that I don't know. Maybe someone can chime in if I'm wrong.

I thought that maybe a choke of some sort might go there. Thanks for the help. I was hoping that there wasn't anything else missing. Looks like maybe the port in the top of the valve cover might need a breather on it. Havnt started it yet, I havnt actually picked it up yet, been too busy at the shop. My buddy said it ran good last time he drove it a couple of months ago. Needs a battery and starter from what I understand. But hopefully this week I can get the cab off and start inspecting the chassis. Might clean up the bodydrop and put a 2x3 chassis under it anyway and cut it close to the doors? Hmm... Thanks for the welcomes guys hopefully I can start a build thread soon.

welcome!

So dime spindles will fit on Mazdas? Would love more info on that and the rear end installation if you dont mind. I could probably have wheels a lot quicker if I was to change all that over.

Not that I'm aware of, keep in mind that I'm building custom upper and lower control arms to accept the spindle. I'm doing the swap because I have the parts laying around. The S10 rear end is very close to the width of a 1st gem yota axle.

Gotcha man, thanks! Will be watching the build. I may already have a dime rearend lined out.
