Just want to say hey to all my fellow Mazda enthusiasts. The recent uncontrollable rise in gas prices has me parking my lowered crew cab dually and returning back to the mini truck scene. I just purchased a 1992 Mazda b2600 ex cab 2 wd. For a mere $350 cdn. It's in awesome shape, except for the motor. This is where I could use some help. The guy I bought it off said it needed a timing chain , but it fired right up and ran, although a little rough. Then a noticed quite an oil leak coming from somewhere off the front cover. Is this a common problem? I power washed the motor before even starting it so I'm thinkinking wet cap, coil or something else. It almost sounds like it's not firing on one hole, but I pulled the plugs and they all looked dry.could all this be related to a bad ECU?, other than the oil leak? Is the front cover a pain to remove? I'm gonna check to see if it will time, if not would it still run with a skipped chain?someones help with this would be Muchly appreciated, as I would like to get this ride mobile ASAP.
I've already lowered it and put my pathfinder wheels on it. Im looking for a set of 17" chevy silverado wheels then I'm gonna re configure my torque rods with 3" blocks.
Thanks for your support!!!
