Another noob from south carolina. Im starting my first minitruck project. I havent built a mini but ive already built a 4x4 s-10 that sat on 35s and ive got a chevy z71 thats always under construction but i decided to try something different.

I am now the proud owner of 1990 b2200 reg. cab shorty. Im gonna post up some pics before i start riping into it, but its basically stock. I got it 1800 bucks. The 2.2 had just been rebuilt, it was lowered 3 inchs front and back, stocker wheels, and had 2 layers of 5% tint on all the windows.

So far ive added 15 inch yota 4runner wheels and 205/50/15 82H kumho ecsta's and cut the pipes off. I plan to do a frame off build. Im looking for some advice on my plans, I plan to scrap the entire stock suspension down to just the frame, I have my eyes set on the motor, tranny, drivetrain, and suspension from a nissan skyline gtr old school. I can get the whole package deal with the wiring harness and diagram, plus everything to convert to all wheel drive for 2500. Its been supercharged n twin turboded. But has ever been done? Would it be possible? Would it be worth it in the long run?

I would appreciate any advice. Like i said its my first mini why not go all out.

welcome........why go all out?...its your first!!..not to be mean but start small, doing a mini is not the same as jackin one up...there is a lot to do that HAS to be done the right way to be safe, as of doing an awd b-truck..why not.. but start small first and learn the truck then go from there..

Thats true but its my first mini build but not the first time ive built a mini. Thats why i wanna go all out. Me and my cousin built his 89 b2200 ext cab, im very familiar with the truck, But this is my first personal build. Thats where my inspiration came from, i just need advice about that kind of transformation. We bagged and layed his out on 19s.

The rb motor can fit inn a mazda. You will probably hae to move your firewall back and possibly move your radiator to the bed. But if you have a will there is a way but I'm not sure about bagged and awd.that part might be difficult lol. You will probably have to change up your steering linkage to. But welcome man. There are a ton of helpful guys on here.

you can put in a GM 4.3 Vortec, built to feed your power choice....... and it fits like it was made for it, no modifications. Use Mazda radiator, if it is all metal, loss it if plastic. Even use original mounting engine mount locations, make "U" bracket to cradle '77 GM mounts, started having broke motor mount "kickup" stopper when you nail it. Make the "U" brackets, bolt to engine mounts bolted to engine, lower motor on them, chalk through the frame holes, pull 'em, drill 'em with holes to move them (slotted side-wise if capable, frame is vertically, I think.), bolt the engine in. Later, if engine is where you want it, weld them.
Transmission and transfer case, no idea, not a four wheeler, just a few extended cabs.
