B2600 4X4

Hi all, im looking at getting an 89 b2600 4X4, apparently the distributor needs replacing because every now and then it will just cut out whilst driving and also apparently this is a prob with these trucks, does a 2200 distributor work for the 2600, im guessing not but thought id ask anyway.
Anyone know of any thing else i should look for in regards to probs with this truck?

I'd look at the computer or the main ignition relay near the battery before the distributor. If you are gonna look st the distributor I'd check to make sure there isn't water in it...

I had the same problem with the b2600i I jut got I put in another distributor and it now runs mint. Yje distributorsa are wat different from the 2200 and the 2600.
