Hey dudes, new here and getting a 83 or 84 model ( owner not sure of year yet ) in the next couple of weeks. It's in great original shape with 157,000 miles. Was towed behind a motorhome quite a bit. Original white paint with blue stripes, 5 speed with a/c and has Honda passport wheels. It's a cream puff. I want to go with a mild prerunner look. Not sure how I'm gonna lift this one though. I'm 51 and have had several minis over the years. 4 datsuns and 2 toyotas. I still have a 87 yota I've had for 20 years, its been raised and lowered more times than I can remember, just a mostly stock beater now. Like I said I wanna do a slight lift and built some nice bumpers with a brush guard, black steel wheels, (may run the passports that's on it) leave the stock paint , do a nice exhaust and maybe a weber ( got one off a yota landcruiser ) any tips on a 2 or 3 inch lift for tire clearence only ? Not doing any offroading to speak of, just looks. Thanks for any advice, great forum !!!

Well, guess my trucks too old to raise intrest.

I would not say your truck is to "old" to raise interest. I think the problem would most members on the board would rather see you go the other way with it and go lower. Lot of experience on here with going lower - probably not so much with going higher.

I on the other hand can swing both ways on suspension, LOL. The only thing I am not really big on is restored stock. I would rather see something that has a personal touch to it - good or bad.

Yeah, I kinda gathered that. I've . Lowered stuff to death, starting in 1976. Just want a usable bike hauler with a cool prerunner look. I've always been of the school " dare to be different " I love the look of this body style low but my old back can't take the ride anymore and my wallet can't take the air bag route.
