New Guy here, first B2200, learning a lot from this site using the "search" function...
Lowering it and replacing the valve seals this weekend. Has 176K Miles on the clock. Picked it up for $200.00 since it didn't run. Just a clogged catalytic converter. Runs like a champ now, just smokes bad... soon to be remedied.

Hope the valve seals replacement fixes your smoke issue. My B2200 required new rings at 183K miles as well as the cylinder head rebuild.

I have an 89 that looks a lot like yours as well! I'm putting my money on rings.......I think you'll find that the seals will help some but the bulk of the smoke is from the worn/clogged oil control rings......after nearly 200,000 miles they just need to be replaced. You can re-use the pistons and just clean them good before you install the new rings and you'll get another 100,000 out of it more than likely.

Price is crazy good for a truck that straight looking.With time,and tlc it will be a nicer b for sure.I like red (sunrise) is the paint name.Mine is the same just cabplus style.Cool truck

We'll a little progress on the smoke issue, couldn't wait until the weekend so I went ahead and replaced the valve seals along with the cam seal that was leaking. Replaced a couple vacuum lines off the carburetor and fired it back up. The blue smoke went away but noticed some white smoke....?
No issue with temp, coolant level hadn't changed but I went ahead and did a pressure test... all is well.
Started looking under the vehicle and noticed a little bit of trans fluid, apparently the vacuum modulator failed so I was getting trans fluid in the motor. Replaced that and no more smoke Happy Camper!
So I'll be picking up some lowering blocks and studying up on how to adjust the torsion bars over the weekend.

Yeah, that modulator has a vacuum hose so if it's got a ruptured seal inside of it, then it will pull fluid into the intake air. That was an easy fix!
