New to the forums here, 20 years old from Iowa. I picked up a '87 b2000 with 68,000 early December for $300 as a beater/winter truck. It needed a good amount of work, didn't start had to tow it home. Worked on it every night and day i wasn't working for about a month. Put about $500 into it, new shocks, new starter, whole exhaust, speedometer cable, welded in a new bed, bed supports as it was barley hanging on the side, lots of Bondo, and a quick paint job. Called it done for the winter when we finally got some snow. I'll probably do some more work to it over the Spring and Summer.

Thanks guys, yeah the bed was basically shot. I used a bunch of primer and undercoated the whole thing. Hopefully the cancer won't come back anytime soon.
